Synergy

RL-UG is a ‘partnering', non-profit organisation based in Kampala, Uganda. To achieve its Mission, it believes in the power of people-to-people networking, alliance and capacity-building and collaboration. RL-UG works in close partnership with Reflective Learning-International (RL-Int.), based in the UK and the global leader in the field. RL-UG places its emphasis on individual and collective learning as the engine for change. Learning that leads to courageous civil spirit, innovative thinking and ethical civil action.

With a respect for voice and diversity, RL-UG uses an appreciative and strengths-based approach to enhance human flourishing. The approach is the renowned PAAR process (Participatory and Appreciative Action and Reflection) used with great success in other parts of East and West Africa.

RL-UG, officially registered in 2009, catalyses, facilitates and supports individuals, families, organisations and communities in East Africa. RL-UG works to close the gap between words and actions and sensitively explores the way power, politics and relationships are at the core of positive and sustainable social change.
